About Sarah Swenson LMHC

As a licensed psychotherapist, I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling from Seattle University. I did my clinical training at The University of Washington/Harborview Mental Health Services in Seattle. The focus of my clinical practice is supporting the needs of neurodiverse couples. I also specialize in working with high intelligence.

Because I write frequently about neurodiverse relationships, I receive inquiries from across the USA and other countries. I developed my structured coaching practice, which is distinct from psychotherapy. Coaching begins where you are now and includes education and practical strategies for change, especially in the area of communication.

I am a member of Mensa as well as several professional associations related to my psychotherapy practice. I offer courses for continuing education to therapists to help them understand and work with neurodiverse couples. I also give presentations at professional conferences.

Besides English, I also speak Italian and German. If one of these other languages is your native language, please know that if your English is conversational, we can also use your language at times for clarification.

Previously, I served for eleven years as a docent at the Seattle Art Museum. I had a novel published. I served as a dean of students. I am also the mother of two daughters and have four young grandchildren. I am often in northern Italy to be with family. My great passion is being outdoors there with my camera.

Regardless of where I am, you can access my virtual office on any device from anywhere in the world.
